- EN Acute Multidimensional Poverty. A New Index for Developing Countries. HDRP 2010.pdf (PDF – 2.7 MB)Human Development Report 2010 presents a new Multidimensional Poverty Index. It is composed of ten indicators corresponding to same three dimensions as the Human Development Index: Education, Health and Standard of Living. The index complements monetary-based measures of poverty, expressing deprivations that are manifested in people’s daily lives in ways that go beyond the ability to purchase goods and services. It is used in United Nations Development Programme ever since.
