A one year learning programme for those involved in diaconal work, social, community and youth work as well as for pastoral workers and long term volunteers who wish to develop their knowledge, skills and competence in the culture of peace building.

September 2022 – October 2023

Invitation

The Programme aims to develop the knowledge and skills for the practice of conflict transformation, which will enable the participants to learn new approaches and methods and to revise and reflect on their approaches to conflict resolution, rooted in the recognition of conflict as an integral part of life. The programme aims to address three phenomena:

Whilst recognising that conflict on these three ‘levels’ is often linked.

Specific Objectives

The programme is built on the recognition that conflict is very often based on issues of identity and power, separately or combined and that such conflict prevents convivial life together. The programme integrated the following approaches to conflict resolution:

The programme was to develop Biblical, theological and spiritual resources in relation to conflict resolution and peace building and support the core concept of convivial life together in peace with justice.

How the programme is organised?

The programme is designed for people who are already working in the field and it will accompany participant's everyday work. This ensured that the learning will be relevant to participant's practice.

The programme was developed by interdiac with its project partners, but it is not externally accredited.

Programme starts with preparatory work on the 4th September 2022 and finishes with finalisation of all assignments on the 14th October 2023.

The dates of the Workshops are planned:
